Learning Networks
We are currently in an era where networking, especially in educational settings, is thriving due to the widespread availability of the Internet. This digital landscape has opened up various networking opportunities within a school system, facilitated by entities such as committees, district events, and grade or content teams. Moreover, social networking sites like YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and others have become invaluable resources for expanding one's network.
I participate in several networks. When I enrolled in the M.A. for Bilingual Education, I became involved in a peer network through discussion boards, in-class interactions, project feedback, and learning conversations. This network inspired us to become a support system among students for topics that go beyond schoolwork. From this perspective, I joined LinkedIn, a social networking platform focusing on businesses and jobs and operating via websites and mobile apps introduced by Eric Ly and Reid Hoffman on May 5, 2003. ClassLink, a website network that seamlessly connects curriculum and teaching in our classrooms, has revolutionized how we teach. It integrates many district software and cloud accounts into a single interface that stores usernames and passwords, making it incredibly convenient for educators and students. This convenience has empowered us to explore new ways of learning, incorporating technology with our pupils in the classroom. ClassLink
YouTube, a platform often associated with entertainment, has played a significant role in our learning journey. Understanding more material from the authors we have been reading and the explanation of concepts has been greatly aided by YouTube. Its vast library of educational content has inspired and motivated us to delve deeper into our studies. Here is an example. Its About the Learning First
Wix is the platform that I chose to develop my e-portfolio. It provided a platform for my e-portfolio and all the resources I needed to communicate with my learning community. Wix's comprehensive resources and communication tools have kept me informed and connected with my peers. Wix.com
