What is an e-portfolio:

Looking for the definition of an e-portfolio, I found it is a collection of digital evidence from a user.

However, according to Dr. Dwayne Harapnuik, an e-portfolio is more than a space to dump meaningless digital content; it is “a learner’s digital evidence of meaningful connections.”

For a portfolio to be successful and meaningful to the learners, they must be active participants in creating their own learning, giving them choice and ownership. This way, they can share their ideas and reflections and work with others.

As a teacher, I can attest that creating an e-portfolio is a space for self-expression and ownership and a catalyst for personal and professional growth. It's a space where I can reflect on my experiences as a mother and share my work with others. The beauty of e-portfolios is that they evolve and improve alongside us, inspiring and motivating us to strive for continuous learning.

As Dr. Harapnuik rightly points out, e-portfolios are not just about individual growth, but also about fostering a sense of community and shared learning. They are one of the best ways to make and present our meaningful connections, engaging in dialogue when we share our work and ideas with others. https://www.harapnuik.org/?p=5790
