COVA

Choice Ownership Voice Authentic Learning While reading one of the suggested articles, I found this quotation, which I believe is very important to consider. It is from John Dewey and reads like this:

"Students thrive in an environment where they are allowed to experience and interact with the curriculum, and all students should have the opportunity to take part in their own learning. (1938)"

Then, as teachers, we have to create a flexible learning environment where our students participate in their education through authentic learning opportunities that help them stay focused and grow academically.

The implementation of the COVA, which provides the learner with choice, ownership, voice, and authentic learning, is of great importance because this approach is student-centered, allowing the students to take ownership of their education.

CSLE is another flexible approach providing a learning environment that promotes student engagement.

A great example of using COVA is creating an E-portfolio where students take ownership and have authentic learning opportunities while working and sharing their ideas and experiences with others.
