My learning experience

My educational adventure in Applied Digital Learning started just a few weeks ago. I decided to embark on this new journey with the desire and motivation to broaden my knowledge personally and professionally. I’ve been teaching for quite some time, and for moments, I felt stuck in the routine of my job; feeling indecision about getting on the program or not, I was confronted with my fixed mindset, thinking I could not learn and grow anymore.

After starting the program, I learned about the growth mindset, which ultimately changed how I see things. Now, I see challenges as opportunities for growth and learning, to develop new skills, and to overcome obstacles.

During my brief tenure in the ADL program, I’ve critically examined the traditional education model, which emphasizes teacher-led instruction and rote memorization. This reflection has ignited a desire to transition towards student-centered approaches that champion active learning, critical thinking, and collaboration skills that are indispensable in the contemporary world. For this, I am truly excited to share my innovative proposal about teaching Science through blended learning in kindergarten, a method I believe will revolutionize how we educate our young learners.

Enclosed is my innovation proposal letter, which was presented to the school administration, and the literature review, a comprehensive compilation supporting my research.

I have also included a video where I discuss my approach. You can see my implementation outline, which outlines the careful steps taken to develop the plan. Lastly, I invite you to explore the Recommended Bibliography, a comprehensive compilation that thoroughly overviews my research.

I am more optimistic about continuing to add to my e-portfolio and sharing my ideas with people. After all, this is only the beginning!
