My learning through discovery
One of the most significant learnings from this training has been the shift in my thinking from a fixed to a growth mindset. Understanding the power of the word “yet” and the importance of a growth mindset has allowed me to focus on the potential for growth and improvement. This shift has enhanced my knowledge, fostered a positive attitude toward learning, and promoted collaboration within my team.
My commitment to a growth mindset and continuous reflection has led me to understand the practical application of the COVA approach. This approach, which emphasizes choice, ownership, voice, and authentic learning, aligns perfectly with my beliefs. It is a powerful tool that empowers my students and inspires me to foster a learning environment where they can take ownership of their education.
I ensure that my actions support equity and respect for every student. This is not just a goal but a fundamental principle that guides my teaching. I firmly believe in the importance of lifelong learning for both myself and my students. I invite you to explore my beliefs and commitments through my Learning Manifesto.
Learning networks are not just a part of my personal and professional growth; they are its cornerstone. They provide access to diverse resources, expertise, and support, and I am constantly amazed by the power of collaboration and shared knowledge. Throughout the school year, I actively engage in professional development opportunities to stay informed of the latest educational findings and best practices. This helps refine my teaching methods and approaches, build valuable connections, and contribute to a collaborative learning environment.
