My decision to enroll in the Master’s in Applied Digital Learning comes from my daily coexistence with my fellow teachers, who are younger than me. They use technology for most of the activities they plan in their lessons. I am an educator with quite a few years of experience under my belt, and I needed something provocative that would make me feel the same enthusiasm that I experienced during those first years of my professional practice. In recent years, I have also had the opportunity to mentor young teachers and student teachers. With their fresh and daring spirits, my mentees inspired me to take action, join them, and voila! I enrolled in this exciting and challenging study program. I have always sought to be informed about the latest educational currents and theories regarding teaching practices. Adopting a growth mindset, I even told myself it would not be easy, but it would be worth it! 

 

Throughout these last weeks, I have experienced a series of mixed feelings, from anxiety about finishing work on time to euphoria about starting to build my digital portfolio. Nevertheless, I have been learning a whole set of new skills that will help me perform more efficiently at work. This innovative approach offers many interesting things to put into practice, such as implementing technology in the classroom with the main focus on the learning experience. I would like to present an innovative proposal to my school administrators. The length of the framework will take a school cycle, as stated in its implementation outline. In order to support my proposal, I also present a literature review to give a formal and serious perspective to my project. To complement the proposal, I share an annotated bibliography, which is a list of suggested books related to the themes studied in the ADL Master’s. One of the assignments that I enjoyed doing the most was the recording of a video where I explained the core reason for my project -Creating Digital Journals within a  Blended Learning Environment.-  

 

I know that I will encounter challenges during this ADL Master’s in the near future, but with a new attitude a growth mindset, I will overcome each one of them.
