Discuss how the model is broken into the two domains of motivation and subdivided into personal, social, and structural sources.
This framework is used to understand which factors influence behavior by identifying the various sources of motivation and ability in the two domains on the X-axis. Personal, social, and structural Y-axis factors subdivide these two domains. So, combining the x- and y-axes gives six sources of influence that can change behavior.
Speculate how to use the six sources of influence in your change initiative.
The video presentations suggest that social motivation is the most effective source of influencing behavior change. " Other humans influence bad and good habits" (Buchler, 2008). Social pressure leads us to act to conform to the group norm. This source of influence is the most effective in the short term to motivate groups to adopt positive behavior patterns and discourage negative (undesirable) behavior. From my point of view, the second most influential source is structural motivation. This is because the program administrators must approve and give permission to start activating the proposal and new policies. These two sources of influence are the ones I am going to apply when implementing my proposal.
Discuss why exploring all six sources of influence is essential if you wish to succeed in your change effort.
The more sources of influence that can be used regularly and consistently, the more examples, reminders, and positive pressures to change toward desirable behavior.
It is true when Buchler insists that to be motivated to change, we must be influential.
