Action Research Plan
The foundation of this Action Research Plan is rooted in my Innovation proposal: implementing a Blended Learning Station Rotation Model within the Dual Language Kindergarten classroom. This proposal seeks to address a critical challenge faced by many of my students—developing foundational English skills in a limited timeframe while navigating barriers such as socioeconomic constraints and limited exposure to the language outside of school.
The complexities of modern education demand innovative approaches to meet the diverse needs of learners. As a bilingual teacher with a deep passion for supporting language development in young learners, I have witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by dual-language kindergarten students in acquiring foundational English skills. Limited instructional time, socioeconomic barriers, and a lack of immersive opportunities often hinder these students' progress, highlighting the need for transformative solutions.
This Action Research Plan emerges from my commitment to address these challenges through a blended learning model incorporating the station rotation framework. By leveraging technology-based tools and personalized learning experiences, this plan aims to create an environment where language acquisition becomes engaging, effective, and tailored to individual needs.
Guided by the principles of action research, this study will explore the implementation process, evaluate its impact on academic language development, and refine strategies to ensure scalability and sustainability. This initiative is not just a project but a mission to empower students, teachers, and the broader school community with a model that promotes equity, access, and excellence in education.
Through this work, I aspire to contribute to the growing body of research on blended learning while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration among educators. This preface invites me to join this journey of inquiry, discovery, and transformation for the benefit of the students we serve.
