Why do we do the things we do?

Self-reflection

This morning, I went to buy breakfast at a fast food restaurant. I was lucky enough to be served by a former second-grade student eight years ago under my academic instruction. Denise greeted me cheerfully and reminded me of her time in second grade under my tutelage. One of the things Denise remembers most is the teamwork assigned to research with her classmates on how to create a presentation of an ecosystem about their favorite animal using the digital platform Prezi. Denise told me that the experience of researching and developing the presentation with the help of her teammates is the most vivid memory she still has from her second-grade year. This encounter encouraged me to continue studying the topics presented in this master's degree. Among the valuable concepts presented in this ADL M.A. program is the refreshing COVA approach, which emphasizes developing learners’ choice, ownership, and voice through authentic learning combined with the set-up of a significant blended learning environment that will enable students to get engaged in projects utilizing the internet. At the same time, learners are guided by a learning facilitator who will help them search and finalize their projects. This journey of learning and growth has been a source of joy and excitement for us all.

Throughout these last eight weeks, we have been reflecting on our ability to cultivate a powerful growth mindset in our students. This mindset will allow them to be resilient and face the challenges in their academic journey and lives. Other valuable tools that I will apply to help me implement my innovative proposal are the influencer model and the four disciplines of execution. The four disciplines of execution, often abbreviated as 4DX, is a business strategy that can be applied to educational settings. It involves focusing on a few wildly important goals, acting on lead measures, keeping a compelling scoreboard, and creating a cadence of accountability. These disciplines can help us achieve our academic goals and guide our students toward success

Implementing the 4DX framework in a second-grade team to guide students in creating online writing journals is a practical application of the framework in an educational setting. This approach can help us achieve the desired results of our academic goals.

Collaborative Team Work

Let me point out the importance of working as a team. My teammates Angelica and Desiree's devoted participation inspired me to continue studying for this master's degree. Collaborating enabled us to develop specific abilities and talents that had lain dormant before enrolling in the ADL Master's program. Skills include frequent communication with one another, brainstorming for ideas, discussing problem-solution scenarios, and making team decisions. I am grateful for the collaboration of my teammates and how they have helped me grow by setting a growth mindset. We enrolled in the ADL program as a team to support each other. We knew there would be challenges along the way, and a study group is essential for success. Teams must cooperate, accept responsibility, and use various abilities and viewpoints to accomplish shared objectives. Every member of my team contributes distinct skills and experiences to the group. It is a pleasure to express my appreciation for being a part of this outstanding team.

Since the beginning of the course, I have collaborated with Angelica Padron and Desiree Lopez, and we have continuously shown that we can work as a cohesive team. We have recently welcomed Miranda de la Rosa Search with Passion, which excites us to have another participant on the team to compare and contrast ideas and points of view on the concepts presented in the ADL Master’s degree. This sense of camaraderie has made us all feel connected and part of a larger learning community.

My study group and I always seek new and creative ways to encourage and support one another. We have established a welcoming atmosphere where ideas are discussed and improved. We have overcome challenges because we have promoted an atmosphere of collaboration and shared purpose, which has been a source of inspiration and motivation for us all.

Key Contributions

Each team member has offered thoughts and insights that have aided our growth throughout these courses.

Desiree Lopez has contributed her original ideas to enhance our web pages and has a wealth of technological knowledge.

Angelica Padron is responsible for supplying references and data that bolster our research.

Doyna Johnston, I've offered suggestions on improving our writing while working on a document to help us communicate our ideas better.

Thanks to our weekly meetings, we've stayed informed, focused, and organized. We can improve communication, exchange reminders and updates, respond to queries, and quickly contribute to our WhatsApp group.

Possibility of Personal Development

We need to keep exploring all kinds of possible work that can be accomplished through WIX.Com  as a website, with the goal of constant improvement in mind.

Time management: To fulfill the demands of my compartmentalized life, I need to improve my time management skills and prioritize balance.
